Product page sections

Many product pages have expandable rows under the product details, such as Shipping and returns or Size advice. Under Design → Product page you write the title and the text of those rows yourself. You no longer need a developer to change them.

The sections are the same for every product: write them once and they show on all your product pages.

Adding a section

Click Add section and fill in:

  • Title (required). The name of the row, for example "Shipping and returns".
  • Text. The content of the row. Write plain text and leave a blank line between paragraphs.
  • Visible. Turn this off to hide a section without deleting it.

Save, and the section appears on your product pages.

Order

Drag the sections in the list to change the order. The order in the list is the order on your product page.

Translations

If your website is available in more than one language, a language selector appears at the top of the window. Pick a language and enter the title and text for that language. Visitors see the version that matches the page language. Where a language has no translation, the text of your main language is shown. You can also manage these translations under Settings → Translations.

Good to know

  • Your theme decides where and how the sections look. The product details and the product description keep coming from your product itself.
  • Some themes show their own default texts as long as you have not added a section. As soon as you add your first section, the theme shows your sections instead of its defaults. Add every section you want to keep, for example both shipping and returns and size advice.

Frequently asked questions

Where did my "Shipping and returns" text come from?

If you never entered it, it was a default text from your theme. Add a section with the same title and your own text to replace it.

Can I show a different text on a single product?

No. The sections are shared by all products. Use the product description for text that only applies to one product.

Not for now. The text is plain text, and paragraphs are created from blank lines.
