Connect ChatGPT

ChatGPT can work on your SitePack site as a custom connector. It uses the same Model Context Protocol (MCP) as every other route, so once it is connected you can ask ChatGPT in plain language to look things up or make changes on the one site you approve.

What you need

A ChatGPT account on a plan that allows custom connectors, and a site you manage. Custom MCP connectors are a newer feature: on some plans they sit under a developer or beta setting. If you do not see the option to add one, your plan or workspace may not have it enabled yet.

Connect with browser sign-in​

  1. Open ChatGPT and go to Settings → Connectors (it may be called Apps & Connectors).

  2. Choose to add or create a custom connector. If there is a developer or advanced section for connectors, that is where it lives.

  3. Give it a name such as SitePack and enter the connector address, which is your admin address followed by /api/mcp. For most customers that is:

    https://admin.sitepack.eu/api/mcp

  4. Choose OAuth as the authentication method if you are asked. ChatGPT opens a SitePack sign-in page. Log in with your SitePack account.

  5. On the permission screen, choose your site and press Approve.

  6. Back in a chat, open the connectors or tools menu and switch SitePack on. The SitePack tools are now available.

Try it

Ask ChatGPT: "Using SitePack, which pages on my site have no meta description?" Naming the connector helps ChatGPT pick the right tools.

Frequently asked questions​

I don't see an option to add a custom connector​

Custom MCP connectors depend on your ChatGPT plan and settings, and are still rolling out. Check for a developer or beta setting under connectors, or use a tool that supports MCP today, such as the Claude desktop app.

Does ChatGPT get access to my whole account?​

No. Like every SitePack connection, it is bound to the one site you approve and to the permissions you approve. It never requests anything that spends money.

How do I disconnect?​

Remove the SitePack connector in ChatGPT's connector settings. The connection stops working right away. See Troubleshooting if a connection misbehaves.
