Connect Claude to your SitePack site

The SitePack connector lets the Claude desktop app work directly on your website. Once connected, you can ask Claude in plain language to look things up or make changes, and it uses SitePack's own tools to do the work on your site: pages and their content, menus, the media library, products, categories, tags and translations.

The connection is tied to one site and to exactly the permissions you approve. You stay in control: Claude can only do what you allowed, and you can disconnect at any time.

What you need

The Claude desktop app, a SitePack account, and a site you manage. There is nothing to install on your side beyond adding the connector.

What you can ask Claude to do​

With the connector active, Claude can help you with everyday website work, for example:

  • Pages: find a page, draft a new one, rewrite a section, update the SEO title and description, or change a page's status.
  • Menus: add a link to a menu, reorder items, or set a translated label for each language.
  • Products and categories: look up a product, adjust a price or stock level, create a category, or tidy up your catalog.
  • Media: search the media library and update alt text.
  • Tags: list, create and rename blog tags.
  • Translations: see what still needs translating in a language and fill in the translations for a page, blog post, product or category.

Prices are always in cents, and every action happens on the one site you connected.

Connect the connector​

  1. Open the Claude desktop app.

  2. Go to Settings → Connectors and choose Add custom connector.

  3. Enter your SitePack connector address, which is your admin address followed by /api/mcp. For most customers that is:

    https://admin.sitepack.eu/api/mcp

  4. Claude opens a SitePack sign-in page. Log in with your SitePack account.

  5. You now see a permission screen: it names the site and lists what the connector may do. Choose your site and press Approve.

  6. That is it. Claude confirms the connector is ready, and the SitePack tools become available in your chats.

Try it

Ask Claude: "Which pages on my site have no meta description?" or "Add an About us item to the main menu, with a Dutch label." Claude will read your site and show you what it found or did.

What the connector can access​

On the permission screen you approve a set of permissions. The connector asks only for what it needs to help with content and your catalog. It never asks for anything that spends money on your behalf, and it can only touch the single site you pick.

Because the permission is per site, connecting Claude to one site gives it no access to any other site in your account.

Stay in control​

  • Review before you approve. The permission screen always shows the site and the list of permissions. If anything looks wrong, press deny.
  • Claude asks before big changes. In your chat you see what Claude intends to do and can decline.
  • Disconnect any time. Remove the connector in Claude → Settings → Connectors. The connection stops working right away.

Frequently asked questions​

Does this give Claude access to my whole account?​

No. The connection is bound to the one site you selected when you approved it. It cannot see or change other sites.

Can Claude spend money or change my subscription?​

No. The connector does not request any permission that places orders or changes billing. It is limited to content, menus, media, products, categories, tags and translations.

Will changes go live immediately?​

New pages are created as drafts unless you ask to publish them, so you can review first. Catalog changes such as prices apply straight away. Claude tells you what it changed.

How do I stop the connection?​

Remove the connector in Claude's settings. If you would like the connection revoked on the SitePack side as well, contact support.

Which app is this for?​

The Claude desktop app. The connector uses the Model Context Protocol (MCP), the standard way Claude connects to outside tools. Other MCP tools can connect too, see Codex CLI and Other MCP tools.
