Troubleshooting
Most connection problems come down to a handful of causes. Work through the ones that match what you see.
The sign-in window does not open, or the connection fails
- Check the connector address. It is your admin address followed by
/api/mcp, for most customershttps://admin.sitepack.eu/api/mcp. A missing/api/mcp, an extra slash, or a wrong admin domain all stop the connection. If you sign in to SitePack at a different address, use that address with/api/mcp. - Complete the browser step. The first connection opens a SitePack sign-in and a permission screen in your browser. If you closed it before approving, trigger the connection again so the window reopens.
- Allow the browser to open. On a machine without a browser (a server or CI), the browser sign-in cannot run. Use a tool that supports a token instead, see Codex CLI.
I signed in, but the tools do not appear
- Turn the connector on in the chat. Some tools list the connector but only use it once you switch it on for the conversation, or the model needs to be in an agent or tools mode. In VS Code, that means Copilot's agent mode, see Connect VS Code.
- Restart the tool. After adding a connector, a restart often makes the tools show up.
- Name the connector in your prompt. Asking "using SitePack, ..." nudges the assistant to pick the SitePack tools.
The connection asks me to sign in again
Sign-in does not last forever, and some tools drop it when they restart. Sign in again through the tool's connector or MCP settings. This is normal and does not mean anything is wrong. In Cursor, use the login button in Settings → MCP, see Connect Cursor.
It edits the wrong site, or I picked the wrong site
Each connection is bound to the one site you chose on the permission screen. To switch sites, disconnect and connect again, and choose the right site when you approve. Removing and re-adding the connector in the tool's settings starts a fresh sign-in.
A change did not happen, or happened differently than expected
- New pages are created as drafts unless you ask to publish them, so check the page status.
- Catalog changes such as prices apply straight away. Prices are in cents.
- The assistant tells you what it did. If that does not match the site, ask it to read the item back so you can compare.
Still stuck?
If a connection keeps failing, or you want a connection revoked on the SitePack side, contact support. Mention which tool you use and the connector address you entered.
