Locations
Locations is the central place where you store your business address details: your address, phone number, email, registration numbers, and opening hours. Every website should have at least one location configured — your main business address — because your site's content elements can pull their contact information directly from it.
The real power of Locations is automation: the Contact Details and Opening Hours elements in the visual editor can be linked to a location. Once linked, they always display that location's current information. Change your phone number or Saturday opening time once, in Settings → Locations, and every linked element across your website — footer, contact page, anywhere — updates automatically. No more hunting down every page that mentions your opening hours.
Both the site owner and any invited team members can manage locations — see Team & Access for inviting others to help maintain your site.
Viewing your locations
Go to Settings → Locations. The page lists all locations for your website with their name, address, city, country, and visibility status, along with buttons to edit or delete each one.
Adding a location
- Go to Settings → Locations.
- Click Add location.
- Fill in the location's details (only the name is required):
- Name — the business or branch name, e.g. "Main Store" or "Amsterdam Branch". This is also used as the company name in linked Contact Details elements.
- Address, Zip code, City, and Country — the physical address.
- Email and Phone number — the contact details for this location.
- VAT number and Chamber of Commerce number — your official business registration numbers.
- Set the opening hours (see below).
- Click Add location to save.
Opening hours
For each day of the week you can either:
- Mark the day as closed using the toggle, or
- Set an opening time and a closing time.
New locations start with a sensible default — open 09:00 to 17:00 on weekdays, closed on Saturday and Sunday — which you can adjust to match your actual hours.
Visibility
Each location has a Show as stock location toggle. When enabled, the location is visible: it appears in the visual editor's location picker and its details are used to fill any elements linked to it. When disabled, the location is hidden — it stays saved in your settings, but it is no longer offered in the editor and linked elements stop receiving its updates.
Automatically updating your site content
This is where locations save you real work. In the visual editor, two elements can be linked to a location:
- Contact Details — shows your company name, address, email, phone number, VAT number, and Chamber of Commerce number.
- Opening Hours — shows your weekly opening times.
When you edit one of these elements, its settings panel includes a Location dropdown. Select a location and the element is filled with that location's current information — the manual input fields disappear, because the data is now managed in one place. A short preview under the dropdown confirms which location is linked.
From that moment on, the element always renders the live location data. Update the location in Settings → Locations, and every linked element on your site — including elements in your footer, which typically appear on every page — reflects the change immediately. There is no need to re-save or re-publish the pages themselves.
If you prefer to manage an element's details by hand, simply leave the Location dropdown empty (or clear it): the manual input fields reappear and the element keeps its own independent values.
Add your main business address as your first location before building out your pages. Then link your footer's Contact Details and Opening Hours elements to it right away — everything you build afterwards stays automatically up to date.
If no locations have been configured yet, the element settings panel shows a notice with a direct link to the Locations settings page instead of the dropdown.
Editing a location
- Go to Settings → Locations.
- Click Edit next to the location.
- Change the details or opening hours as needed.
- Click Save.
All elements linked to this location across your website update automatically — this is the recommended way to communicate changed opening hours (holidays, seasonal hours) or a move to a new address.
Deleting a location
Click the trash icon next to a location and confirm. Deleting a location does not break your pages: elements that were linked to it simply keep the last details they displayed, but they will no longer update automatically. It is best to edit those elements afterwards and either link them to another location or fill in their details manually.
Deleting a location cannot be undone. If you only want to stop using a location temporarily, disable its visibility toggle instead of deleting it.
Frequently asked questions
How many locations do I need?
At least one — your main business address. If your business operates from multiple branches or stores, add each one as its own location so every branch can show its own address and opening hours on your site.
Who can manage locations?
The site owner and any team members invited through Team & Access. This makes it easy to let an employee keep the opening hours up to date without giving them your own login.
I changed my opening hours but a page still shows the old times. Why?
Check whether the Opening Hours element on that page is actually linked to your location — open the page in the editor, select the element, and look at the Location dropdown in its settings. If no location is selected, the element uses its own manually entered times and must be updated by hand (or linked to the location).
What happens to linked elements when I hide or delete a location?
They keep showing the last known details but stop updating automatically. Hidden locations can be made visible again at any time; deleted locations are gone permanently.
Can I still enter contact details manually in an element?
Yes. Leave the element's Location dropdown empty and the regular input fields for company name, address, phone number, and so on remain available. Linking to a location is optional — but recommended, so you only ever maintain this information in one place.
Do I have to re-publish my pages after changing a location?
No. Linked elements read the location's current data every time a page is shown, so changes are live on your website as soon as you save the location.
