Newsletter Signup

The newsletter feature adds a signup form to your website so visitors can leave their email address and stay in touch. You control it under Settings → Newsletter: switch it on, write the texts, and decide whether new subscribers have to confirm their address. Every signup is then captured for you, ready to follow up or export to your mailing tool.

There is no code to add. When the newsletter is on and your theme has a signup spot, the form appears on your site automatically.

Turning the newsletter on

The Newsletter subscription on switch shows or hides the signup form on your website. Turn it off and the form disappears, with no leftover empty block. Turn it on and it appears wherever your theme places it.

Writing the texts

You control the wording visitors see, so it matches your tone of voice:

  • Intro text. A short line above the form that invites people to sign up, for example "Get our best offers in your inbox."
  • Button text. The label on the signup button, for example "Subscribe".
  • Confirmation text. The message shown right after someone signs up, for example "Thanks, you are on the list!"
  • Language of the texts. If your site runs in more than one language, set the language these texts are written in so the right version shows to each visitor.

Single or double opt-in

The Double opt-in switch decides how a signup is confirmed:

  • Off (single opt-in): the visitor is added to your list straight away when they submit the form.
  • On (double opt-in): the visitor first receives an email asking them to confirm, and is only added once they click the link. This is the safer choice for list quality and is often expected for marketing email, because it proves the address is real and that the person genuinely wants your mail.

Until someone confirms, their signup is held as pending.

Where your subscribers go

Every signup is captured in your Leads inbox, labelled with the Newsletter source, so your mailing signups sit alongside your other enquiries in one place. Open Leads and filter to Newsletter to see just your subscribers, follow up individually, or connect them to your email marketing tool through an app integration.

Frequently asked questions

Why is the signup form not showing on my website?

Check that the Newsletter subscription on switch is on, and that your active theme includes a newsletter spot. When the newsletter is off, the form is hidden on purpose so you never get an empty block.

What is the difference between single and double opt-in?

With single opt-in, a visitor joins your list the moment they submit the form. With double opt-in, they first have to confirm through an email link, which keeps your list clean and is generally recommended for marketing email.

Where do I find people who signed up?

In your Leads inbox. Newsletter signups are captured as leads with the Newsletter source, so filter Leads to Newsletter to see them together.

Can I use my own email marketing tool?

Yes. Beyond following up by hand from Leads, you can connect an installed app that forwards new signups to your email platform. See Leads & App Integrations.

Do I need to write the texts in every language?

Set the Language of the texts to match how you wrote them. If your website is multilingual, provide the texts for each language so visitors see the form in their own language.
