Team & Members

The Team section of your Partner Dashboard lets you bring colleagues into your organisation and control exactly what each of them can do. Instead of sharing a single login, every member gets their own account, and you decide whether they work on apps, themes, client sites, or manage the whole organisation.

You can reach it via Team in your Partner Dashboard, once you've selected an organisation.

Viewing your team

The Team page lists everyone who currently belongs to your organisation, showing:

  • Name and email address of each member.
  • Role, which determines the sections of the dashboard they can access (see below).
  • Member since, the date they joined the organisation.

The person who created the organisation is marked as the Owner and always appears first.

Roles and what they can access

Each member has one role. The role decides which parts of the Partner Dashboard that person can open, so you can give a developer access to apps without also handing them your client sites or organisation settings.

Access is enforced automatically. If a member tries to open a section their role doesn't include, SitePack blocks it, so you never have to rely on people simply not clicking the wrong link.

Only Owners can open the Team section, invite people, change roles, or remove members.

Inviting a member

  1. Open the Team section and use the invite form.
  2. Enter the person's email address, first name, and (optionally) last name.
  3. Choose the role they should have.
  4. Send the invitation.

What happens next depends on whether that email already has a SitePack account:

  • New to SitePack: an account is created for them automatically, and they receive an email invitation with a link to your organisation's dashboard and the details they need to sign in. You never have to create or share a password on their behalf.
  • Already has a SitePack account: they're simply added to your organisation and notified by email. They keep using their existing login.

Invited members join your existing organisation, so they never start a separate trial of their own.

Changing a member's role

As the Owner, you can change any member's role at any time from the Team list. The change takes effect immediately, widening or narrowing which sections that person can reach. The Owner's own role cannot be changed.

Removing a member

To revoke someone's access, remove them from the Team list. They immediately lose access to your organisation, while their personal SitePack account itself stays intact. The Owner cannot be removed from the organisation.

Frequently asked questions

Do the people I invite need a SitePack account already?

No. If the email address you invite is new to SitePack, an account is created for them automatically and they receive an invitation email to get started. If they already have an account, they're added to your organisation without needing a new one.

Can I limit what a team member can see and do?

Yes. That's what roles are for. An App developer only reaches the Apps section, a Theme developer only Themes, and a Content manager only Sites. Owners have full access. The restriction is enforced by SitePack, not just hidden from the menu.

Who is allowed to manage the team?

Only the Owner. The Owner is the person who created the organisation and can invite members, change their roles, and remove them. Other roles cannot open the Team section.

Can the Owner be changed or removed?

The Owner's role cannot be changed, and the Owner cannot be removed from the organisation. This makes sure every organisation always has someone with full control.

What happens to a member's account when I remove them?

They lose access to your organisation right away, but their personal SitePack account continues to exist. Removing someone from your team never deletes their account.

Can one person be part of more than one partner organisation?

Yes. A single SitePack login can belong to several partner organisations at once, each with its own role. See Registering your Organisation for how members switch between organisations.
